uZoom donating revenue to GAPPS
uZoom is a live video mobile app that provides a tangible, interactive and immersive connection to the world. We know that the more people interact with the world around them, the more they understand what it means to be part of a global community. A community that includes Brazil, a country that ranks among the top 10 countries with the highest number of preterm births. A startling statistic that also holds true for the United States. In August 2016 the Summer Games kicked off in Rio de Janeiro. uZoom was there to provide a connection to the festivities for people all over the world through the app for a small fee. 100% of the revenue earned through zooms around the world during the month of August 2016 went to GAPPS. uZoom's mission at its core is to have an impact on global development, global health, and international philanthropy. GAPPS and uZoom are excited to partner together to continue working to make every birth a healthy birth.
On Oct. 14, 2016, uZoom Chief Impact Officer Kjell Oswald presented Christy Van Pelt, senior business manager for GAPPS, with a check for more than $3,600.
