Increasing Global Awareness to Effect Change
In forging a collaborative, global alliance for preventing prematurity and stillbirth, GAPPS is working to increase awareness and understanding about the magnitude of the problems of preterm birth and stillbirth. One way to accomplish this is participating in the development of reports that illuminate the issues and firmly establish why additional investment is so urgently needed in these areas. A recent example is The Lancet Stillbirth Series published in 2011.
