Grants to prevent preterm birth
Each year, more newborns die as a result of preterm birth than from any other cause. Preventing Preterm Birth, an initiative within the Grand Challenges in Global Health, is providing grants to discover new solutions to ensure healthy births around the world.
The Challenge: Phase 2
To identify and develop research sites in low- and middle-income countries as part of a collaborative, multicenter initiative to conduct prospective studies of pregnant women that will investigate causes of preterm birth and stillbirth and novel strategies for prevention.
